The Causes That Can Lead to Back Pain

Back pain has been the main cause of trouble for most of the women. The original cause of back pain is stated to be caused due to pain in the nerves, muscles, joints, bones and other parts of the spine. However, one should recognize that back can be a symptom for a serious medical condition. Most of the people especially, women do not take such kind of pin into account and find a temporary relief through the application of certain pain balms or sprays. One should see that severe back aches are taken into account and it is better to consult a doctor soon. However, some of the medical disorders that can cause back pain include the following.

  • Mechanical difficulties
  • Injuries
  • Acquired diseases and conditions
  • Infections and tumors

The common mechanical problems may arise due to the movement of the spine from its original location. However, the common example of such an action is inter-vertebral disc degeneration in which the discs lying between the spine and the vertebrae break down with the age. As they experience a break down, the cushioning element losses its elasticity leading to the cause of pin during movement of the back. One of the other reasons for sever back pain may also be due to wearing out of the facet joints, connected to the vertebrae. The other reasons can also include:

  • Muscle tension
  • Spasms
  • Ruptured discs

Pain Due to Injuries

The fractures and sprains are said to be the main cause of back pain. They also tend to cause a condition called chronic back pain which is short lived and often ignored by the people. The sprains can be caused due to the introduction of a tear in the ligament which can be bought about due to the improper movement or twisting. Fractures are most commonly developed in individuals suffering from osteoporosis. This condition normally leads to porous and weak bones that tend to break easily. The damage to the bones can also occur due to various accidents and falls leading to severe back pain.

The Diseases and Conditions That Are Acquired

Some of the common diseases that may lead to the cause of back pain include the following.

  • Scoliosis
  • Spondylolisthesis
  • Ankylosing spondylitis
  • Arthritis
  • Spinal stenosis

Some of the other conditions that show back pain as one of the main symptoms include the

  • Kidney stones and infections
  • Pregnancy
  • Endometriosis
  • Fibromyalgia

Endometriosis is the accumulation of the uterine tissue that is formed over the uterus and can result in back pain. While, fibromyalgia is a condition of fatigue and greatly damages the muscles to cause muscle pain.

Tumors and Infections

Though infections are minor contributors of back pain, they can be severe when vertebrae or the discs that covers them. Tumors can be due to the result of back pain that begins from the back and ultimately spreads to other parts of your body.

However, emotional stress is also one of the main reasons to develop back pain.
